Moving to a domain! =D!

Thursday, January 26, 2012

Hello everyone! I have good news and bad news....

The bad news is I have decided to no longer write at this blog....but because I got a domain! While this will mostly be about photography, I will also put my makeup reviews up there as well! It saddens me to no longer write here on the Fashion Fox blog, but I also feel I needed to go the next step! I needed to be taken seriously! And so I did!

http://marymphotography.net!!!! I hope you enjoy and follow! I will still try to follow all of you! I love and cherish you all so much =)

Opening of my home studio!!!

Tuesday, January 3, 2012

Hi everyone! Geeze it's been a very long time....I know, and I'm really sorry for that!! I had so much happening! First, we bought a house!! Zac and I are now homeowners!!! ^_^! But we closed on the house a week after I had surgery. GASP!!! What was that? Yes, I had surgery. I had a lemon sized tumor in my right hand palm. It took over my thumb tendons, and I had to have a tendon transplant. I am still recovering from this, but able to work on my photography. Yes....I am officially a pro-photographer!!! Mainly my expertise is in newborn and child portrait photography!! You can see all my work at http://www.facebook.com/marymphoto !!! But below is some of my work =)!

I just have been so busy...and my makeup has not been all that interesting seeing as I haven't really played with it other than some natural looks I wear with my NAKED2 palette. I'm sure I'll update more with photography sessions, and recent favs that I have. I will def do a review about my mimi lens that I got on sale! 11.95 at pinkyparadise when they had their 50% new year sale. But now I have to go, I have a passed out boyfriend at the couch who probably would like a nice warm bed instead.

Outfit of the day, and shopping!

Friday, October 7, 2011

Just thought I'd give a quick look at how the Lauren Conrad pleather brown shorts and top actually look on someone other than on LC.  I also have brown leggings on underneath the shorts. Oooooh I just love it! This is my first time wearing this outfit. The heels are a brand I can't remember. I got them last year though. I loooooove the bows on the side (excuse the upside down picture hahaha. It was the only view I could get good with the bows in the picture.)

I don't wear heels very often, as seeing I am almost 6ft tall, so I am glad these don't make me too much taller. It's not so much of an extreme heel. And comfortable enough to still shop in! But after slipping over to stalk Jenny's page a little bit, she posted pictures of some oxfords she got from Yesstyle  That I
would absolutely love to get. She has them in the khaki color, but I would absolutely love them in a chocolate mix color.

These are the ones  I want. =) I just love them! ANd the design quality is well worth the $100 that they cost.

I am starting to really dislike blogspot (blogger, whatevs) it keeps posting my pictures where I don't want them to be, and it just seems so glitchy for me all the time -.-;; .Grrrr. Oh well. So this weekend, I have absolutely nothing planned. Probably a bunch of old scary movies and sitting on the couch cuddling up to the boyfriend is the majority of the plan. I'm sure you all will hear about it at some point. I hope everyone has a good weekend! (I'm so awkward and don't know how to end a blog. EVER. I feel like I'm always cutting it short.)

Cute things and Holga Camera!

Wednesday, October 5, 2011

Hello everyone! Since I last updated, I have officially stopped working at CVS. Between my doctor appointments and what is in store for the future for my right hand and other reasons that I should just take some time off. So I will spending a lot of time trying to get my photography business going. You can see examples of my work here at facebook =D!

So moving on to the main reason of the post! I got some cute new things that I thought I would share with the world, and try and make it to where I blog not only when I have something new to review XD.

Thirty-One Owl Coin Purse
This is the cutest thing ever! I usually do a lot of photography work in places where I can't keep an eye on my purse, or need as much room for something else that I can't carry a wallet. This is the perfect size for your License, some money and maybe a tube of lipstick or lipgloss. The pattern and material is so cute and tough so it shouldn't ever fall apart!!!

Thirty-One Manicure SetI LOVE THIS PATTERN! And the manicure set is the nicest I have found yet! It should seeing it was $16 haha. But the floral printing is my favorite. I die for prints like these. I have a lot of shirts like this. The set comes with cuticle pusher, nail file, nail clippers, and cuticle scissors.

Holga 35mm Camera
I finally got my camera Jenny!! It is everything I thought and more!! The owner of the well known sushi-cat.net site had a sale, and when I saw she had her Holga camera on sale, I snatched it up literally in five seconds. She also included a roll of film and the long wire that allows you to take self portraits easier ( I forgot the damn name, XP) I will be sure to update with the pictures I get from it!

Doodle-Stitching
hhh, my favorite purchase from Amazon in the last few weeks has been Doodle-Stitching, a wonderful book with different projects like quilts, designs for hats, or other doodles you can stitch on things to make them neat. I'm currently working on a pink themed bunny pillow for my mom, that way she has to be nice and tell me it is awesome.I'll post the pattern below.
Adorable, right? I'm just doing it in a pink theme instead of blue. Pink and brown that is.....And don't mind the Hello Kitty pajama bottoms x.x!!

So that's currently what is in my "hobby" basket. Perhaps I will have more cute things to show in the near future if I ever get around to making them. I'm also trying to read the first Gunslinger book in the series by Stephen King AND read my second part of Maus. So we will see. Hope you all enjoyed!

Sugarpill review!

Wednesday, September 28, 2011

Hi everyone! Long time no see! It's been really busy at work, and just haven't really had anything "new" to review. Vacation was great, life is great, and I'm glad Fall is here!! Sweaters are my favorite to wear! And I decided to start getting my Halloween stuff ready early, and I'm going to be a fox!! I decided to buy Sugarpill cosmetics to get a wild look. Well, I played around with it, and here is what I have to say about it!

What cute packaging! This is the box that you get in the mail. At this point you are really excited to see what other goodness could be in this cute little box.

Inside was a sticker, business card, collector card and a loose powder sample. A lot of free gifts! That was a plus. I always like it when the business actually gives treats and thank you's for your business =).

I ordered the colors Flamepoint and Love+ in the pressed powder. I always wear urban decay eye primer, to bring out the vibrant colors and making them last all day.
Soooo vibrant! The color is intense, and is easily applied. I blended a brown shimmer elf shadow on top of it to make it just a little bit more shimmery. I think it will definitely give my a fierce look for my fox costume.

Has anyone else realized how wonderful the new Lauren Conrad lines are? I was in love her summer line, and I bought a majority of her fall line.

I have the first sweater and these shorts on in the photos above. I also have the sweater with the shorts pictured on Lauren Conrad. So cute!
I have a shorter version of this skirt from her line, but couldn't find it on the site...But I love this one as well!!!! Her whole line is adorable. I suggest you take a look if you ever get the chance!

I'm hoping to start stitching soon, I need a hobby of some sort. I also need to look into getting a digital book reader, they're easier to hold and turn pages on for me with my hand cramps. I'm starting to get busier with my photography as well. I entered a contest not too long ago and got a second and third place ribbon. So things are picking up. Well, I gotta go figure out supper =(! Hope you guys enjoyed the return!

It's been really busy, and such a long time since I've posted. I just wanted to give a heads up that I will be updating in the next few days! It will include some outfits for Fall, vacation, a Sugar Pill review, and more! Thanks for those who have stuck around and plan on reading in the future =D!!!

Lauren Conrad outfit, healing garden and select lash, and hipstamatic!

Friday, July 15, 2011

Oh geeze. Everything you can do on this iphone is amazing! Seeing as I am all about photography (and do it as a part time living) I had heard soooo much about Hipstamatic, and decided to actually buy the app and a few other lens and film for it.

Oh I just love the way these photos feel. I also love how my mother has antique items to take pictures of =3.

After I took some pictures, I took my mom into town to get her groceries and other stuff, and low and behold I found some neat items!!!

The Healing Garden Romance Passionate Rose RainWater body mist!
I am always looking for some kind of rose scent, because I used to have a Disney Belle perfume that smelled of the most wonderful roses!! I still have the bottle so I can smell it. But I can't ever find anything close to it, so I get pretty excited and buy anything to do with roses. This is a nice light smell of roses, which I got the lotion too. It's still nothing compared to my Belle perfume, but it is something different while Summer is still going on.

OH my gosh, and for the best thing I got today!!!
This is the Lauren Conrad clothing line (Both top and shorts) and I had Kohl's $10 off. So I got the entire outfit for $52.14 !! I guess that's not too bad, seeing some outfits are really really expensive. I really wanted these shoes, they were on clearance, but I don't want to spend too much money before vacation T.T

I'm trying to convince Zac to buy them for me since they are only $14 hahahaha! We will see.....

I also bought some lashes made by Select Last, and cut them in half because I don't feel the need for a full set.

Along with the latte lens again! Hahaha. I just love them, so neat. I used my D-UP Eyelashes Fixer EX 552-Clear Type(Pink bottle-Limited), and it has a pretty neon blue look to it (weird description, I know, but when you look at the brush it does! Weird gel colors and their magic!! But anyways, this is by far the best glue I've used, because of the easy access shape brush. It is perfect for either eye or eyelash.

I love my nude lipstick. But I really want to try a coral soon.
And Hard candy blush is ok, I just want good makeup, but refuse to pay so much. I will break down soon.

Oh, by the way, I also got a L.A. Colors pink swatch set for like, $1.25 from DG also, just because I was curious at these vibrant colors, and the horrible cheap price of fear. Well they worked awesome! A lot shimmery than some of my other shades from CG or L'Oreal. I was really surprised! I may add those later if someone asks later. Well, I'm off to prepare for my friends wedding tomorrow. I'm going to try and shoot it both with my Canon, and the Hipstamatic. Just an experiment. =).
