Summer ahhh~

Wednesday, May 25, 2011

On the first note, I am having problems replying to your comments on my blog!! =(!!!! But thank you for your comments!!

So I took the photos for a wedding this weekend, and wow! What an amazing time, and what good pictures I got! I'll share my favorite shots with you now!

What a beautiful time!! But now for the part you guys are here for. This is a very Summer post. We are going to Branson next week for a whole week! And then Florida for a week at the end of July!! So I thought I should probably get some sun screen, and summer accessories.  But along with that I found some cute shirts!!! For $3.80 each or something like that.

The first one I am wearing in this picture, bright colored zig zag lines!! All of these are cami's, so they are nice and cool for everyday use on hot Summer days!!!
Oooh, I love the pink and yellow combination! I used to not be a fan of yellow, but I am REALLY feeling it this Summer. Along with this shirt are Salon Perfect #45 Black eyelashes, in a starter kit. The lashes are not too thin, and not too long =). Can't wait!! Also are the Goody brand Island Sun Blossiming Beauty Bobby Slides. sooooo pretty. And they are vibrant against my red hair!
This is my FAVORITE PRINT!!! Those flowers are just gorgeous!!! The first item is Suave Captivating Curls spray gel. Since I have naturally curly hair and love it(plus it's just really easy to style when it already wants to do that~!) The next is Dove body mist in pomegranate & lemon verbana scent. It claims to have moisturizer in it too!!! Very fresh!!!Now the most I'm most excited about! The Hawaiian Tropic After Sun moisturizer. It is in lime coolada scent. I've already used some!! So soft and such delicious scent!!!! Not to mention it's in my favorite color!!!

Well...I guess I'm still on the crackle nail craze.

They didn't have black(No where does! It is a popular color!) So I got red and purple now. Hmm... I don't know how I am gonna pull this off. What colors do you think I should use as base?? Also, since I have so much yellow now, I got yellow polish too!!!
#250 Lightening in Sally Hansen Insta-Dry series. =)

OH! I forgot to blog about our night in St. Louis! We went to the Firebird, and watched a comedian named Kyle Kenane. Very funny, a little gross, but hilarious. I drove home from St. Louis for the first time and was very VERY nervous.
His grandma gave me that necklace!! She actually gave me a lot of jewelry. And I love it all!!!

Sally Hansen Crackle nail polish review! NEW LENS!

Wednesday, May 18, 2011

Hello everyone! Here I come back with my FIRST real review since taking that hiatus. The new crackle nail craze!!! My coworker had the black crackle nail polish from Sally Hansen, and I have the gold. Hers looked awesome against her red! Very bold colors. However I went a different route, and decided to get 06 Antiqued Gold in the Crackle nail polish and 440 Calypso Blue from Complete Salon Manicure line from Sally Hansen.

Ooooh such pretty beach colors. Well, that's what I had in mind for it anyways. Let me remind you that the night before I had tried the black base coat and gold crackle top. Needless to say, I didn't do it right somehow. I didn't understand! This is when my coworker told me that you have to let your base coat dry ALL THE WAY for like, 20 minutes. I retried this last night and had better luck!

Now that it's actually on, I don't know how I feel about it. It looks sort of different in person, a little more vibrant I think. But it looks more seafoam green and gold. Still, I wanted earthy tones since it's summer, so this is what I got.

Did I mention I dyed my hair??

(Please do not mind the no makeup!!! This is in the morning today!!) Wooo! Dark! Not too much ?? Compared to what I was before

NOT much of a difference. But I got bored and needed change hahaha.

I used L'Oreal Preference Color RR07. I already have natural red hair, so it just makes it a little more intense of red.

I loooooove this hair dye! It has a conditioner that reminds me of the rose perfume I got from a Disney magainze once. (Yes, I saved it from a little girl til I was an adult to use it, and now it is gone, and it had Belle on it!!)
My hair was very soft afterwards too, even Zac said so!!

So I got a new lens for my Canon camera. The 50mm 1.8 canon lens! I am getting a lot more jobs now taking photos, and finally got some new stuff for my camera!! Prepare for some massive cute kitty pictures and people I love! By the way, the pictures for the nail crackle part of the review is with the new lens! It is a very good macro!

One of the kittens at my Grandma's house!! He is the oldest, and he doesn't really have a name. But he is crazy and chases his tail for like, minutes at a time. He has no one to play with his age =(!!

HAHAHAHA! The best picture taken of a McDonald's cup ever!! The real photo you can zoom in and actually read the cup!! So crisp the focus is!

My papa! He just got his hair cut !!!! So funny =)!

And my favorite guy! He had just got off work and was not exactly thrilled about me using him to take people pictures first XD!!! Poor guy, what he puts up with.

So that's about it. I plan on buying the black crackle nail color, just because I think you can do more with bolder colors. Tonight we are going to St. Louis to see a comedian for Zac's birthday! It's not today, but is next week. And I'm waiting on his birthday gift =(. Come soon!
Also, tomorrow I am having lunch with an old friend I haven't seen in a while! I cannot wait!!

I leave you with a picture of my feet and dogs =)!

What a long hiatus! PHew I'm back!!

(Warning! Image heavy =S!)

Wow. I was gone for a really long time. Between working and just not having internet -.0'' it was a really long time!! But now I am back, and have so much to tell and share!
So we finally have internet, hahaha. I convince Zac it was indeed time for us to get it. He didn't argue back =D! Oh!! Did I also mention I have an Iphone now?!

Hahaha. Thanks Jenny for the wonderful case idea! I had to get it after all the ones I had seen. Almost everybody asks me why I'm carrying a cassette tape around =) lol.
So with this new iphone, I decided I should start a photo blog, or just a photo something. I take so many pictures with this, that it's more fun to update what is going on in random times. You can see what I have so far at my flickr account =) even though I will still mostly try and update here more often.

Geeze! Work makes me write short entries. Perhaps soon I will give you a full blog report. Lots of makeup, hair products, and more princess mimi eyes!!! =)

Princess Mimi green apple (BAMBI SERIES) Contact lenses!!!!

Thursday, March 24, 2011

This is going to be a very short post, for I have to work in a little bit, but I had to let everyone know about the Bambi lenses (Princess Mimi) That I received!! They are pretty popular right now, and I was afraid I wouldn't get them in. BUT I DID MUAHAHAHA!! Thank you Pinky Paradise for having them for 23.90 instead of 32.00 like I was seeing at different places!!! I always trust Pinky Paradise, they have never done me wrong!!!

Check THAT out!!! I think it shows up REALLY good on my natural blue eyes. Sorry for the no makeup deal, I haven't gotten ready for work yet. Buut look at how super green those are!! WOW!! This is my first green pair, so I'm really happy with the outcome. I highly suggest these, in any color, because I feel they are made with amazing design. Remember that different color of natural eye may make different eye colors with the lenses.

Did I mention I cut off all my hair.....?????

eh, not a very good picture, but what can you expect with cell phones. It's all gone. I can't even put it in a pony tail lol...but I felt that I couldn't handle the weight of my hair anymore, so it's a situation that took a lot of thinking to go through. But now I have to go to work, and I'm sorry to everyone that I haven't been posting a lot, a girl at work just had her baby( Which is the most adorable baby girl I've ever seen!! Congrats Jessica!!!) and we've been making up the hours for her. So hopefully someday I'll have time!! So now I leave you with a picture of what I got today!!

Rohto lycee eye drops, green frog contact holders, Princess Mimi lenses, and a kamipita bow!!! Thanks everyone!!

rrrrr... busy week at work. photography post?

Wednesday, March 2, 2011

I have absolutley NO time to write all my reviews that I want, and boy do I have a lot of them. I have got a lot of the newer makeup that's been out for about a month now, but just haven't had time to do it, because CVS is keeping me busy 24/7. I feel like I have neglected this nice little side hobby blog of mine, and felt that I should at least post something. So I figured why not some self portraits I did in photography, pictures that I actually look good in hahahaha. I promised this weekend, I will have a real review up.

On to the pictures!!!!

This is about I'd say a summer or two ago. Yes, that is some straight hair!!! What the heck? I don't know, I have come to love my natural curly hair, plus it's so much easier to do than straighten my thick hair.
here is what it looked like in color:

Wow. Look at that blonde-orange fire going on there. I absolutely love it, but not the damage it takes to make it that color. I do it almost every summer, and everyone loves it, and I'm thinking about doing it again soon, but should I???

This was taken at my grandmother's house, and one of my dad's favorite pictures of myself. No tripod, all did by just holding the camera. Most of these are in black and white, because I think it looks better, a little more classier when you do a fashion self portrait shot.

Taken at my grandparents. This time it was a tripod. This is a fan favorite for some reason, though I don't think I look as pretty as I do in the other ones =S.

This is one of my favorites, and also what happens when I come home at night alone and drunk hahaha.
I'm surprised I didn't break my camera, nor have a horrible and ruined shot. I also like how my head for some reason looks a little bigger than my body. =S

This was before I quit smoking, and photoshopped the clock over the face. It was supposed to show a girl waiting as the time went by, but I dunno. Art can tell so many different stories. =).

and now for some photography not of myself!!! Hoorah!

Tiny Tim was a very small kitten that was born at my grandparent's house. He never grew very big, and is still quite small. I call him a dwarf cat, which I don't think he minds. This photo has gotten a lot of favorites at deviantart, and is one of the more popular photos of mine.

This is my favorite, the colors, the bokeh, everything.  These bluebirds are crazy though! When I was in the kitchen window trying to take their pictures, they would fly into the window for some reason. Crazy birds. But I got this wonderful shot of one, so that makes me happy!

Bees are one of my favorite insects. However, I do not like being stung by them. We have a bunch of flowers at my mother's house, seeing we lived in the country. There were lots of chances to take pictures of these little guys!

I...absolutely....hate spiders. Scared to death of them. But I had to get super close to this corn spider to get the shot. He never really got angry or moved unless I breathed on him, and everytime he did I ran away screaming like a fool.

These transformers are out on the old dirt road that goes to my grandfather's old oil wells, and I just thought they looked like a couple enjoying the day. the heart bokeh was added by photoshop, which helps entitle the photograph, "Sparks are Flying".

I think that is it for now. If you want to see more of my nature photography, you can go to My deviantart page  and check things out =). I guess photography is more of my good hobby, but I just like doing so many different things, and it's harder these days to take pictures in cold Illinois weather. I can't wait for spring!!!!!

Lots to update?? Sally Hanson nail polish strips, eye primer, leopard nails??

Tuesday, February 22, 2011

Ohmygosh. It was been a long week. I guess I haven't updated in a while, which makes me feel even worst. But ah, at least I'm here now. So I just want to let everyone know how wonderful my Valentine's day was. (Kind of late for this entry, but I still feel it is necessary. ) The day began with a Doctor's appointment, and then I came home to the lovely site of roses.

Aww how sweet! I had bought a cake that day, and it was the most delicious cake I had ever tasted. However, Zac a day later swiped it off the counter accidently, and then there was no more delicious cake =(.

Awww. We had just got back from TGI Friday's. Delicious! I got the Sizzling Chick and Shrimp while he got some kind of other chicken or maybe even a Jack burger. I love dressing up, but I noticed a lot of couples really didn't. Not saying there's anything wrong with that, just I like makeup too much. So the outfit and jewelry were from Maurices;

I had a $10 off coupon punch card that day, so I got everything for about $36. The makeup is by L'oreal, the eye studio shades in Sapphire Siren.

So a couple of nights later I decided to get those new nail polish strips from Sally Hansen? I got the #350 Misbehaved.

These go for around $8 here.and are made for any nail size.
Oooh. Look at that strip! So obviously, the little tab goes on the top of the nail so you can pull the tab, and file the tip for adjustment. So I was pretty satisfied with the results, for I have used another brand of strip nail polish before, and the situation not going so well. I was pretty sure this product wasn't going to work, and that I wouldn't keep my hopes up too much. But I was proven wrong. The next day, none of the polish had come off in sleep. I went to work, which CVS is horrible on nails, and it only got a few dents in. The real problem came when I would shower. The bottom of these nails don't always fit perfectly right, and may go over your cuticle just SLIGHTLY! And all of a sudden your hair likes getting stuck in the tiny cracks where nail and polish don't meet. Ouch. Not really, but just an annoyance. But still, they hardly faded in the shower. I then began working on earrings that I've been making, and that's when the polish met its match. I got bored with this pattern, only because I saw some fake nails at Wal*Mart that are red and leopard print. Yeah...how teenager rockstar of me, but hey, I LOVED them. So I had to try and take this polish off before I put on the nails. Ugh, would not come off easily. Took forever . But I think the end result is good =)

So yeah. I've been making earrings because I get bored easily, and need something to do that is productive. And I thought if I could buy jewelry, I could make it and not worry about paying $10 for a pair I'll only wear once. So I bought the kit, some beads, and dug through old jewelry I knew I wouldn't use. This is what I came out with.

Eeek. I have a few more I made, but I don't have pictures of them yet. I love the angel wing ones, but I don't have anything pink to wear these with. But they're so pretty =(.

So I dunno, these earrings are just a way to let steam off I suppose. We spend a lot more time at home than out anymore, not that I mind. I like staying inside, and enjoying old movies or cleaning the house together. But then again, I like going out every once in a while too. Well I have written all I need to say for today! I will leave you with the gift I got after we got done having dinner with Zac's sister. We ate at Ruby Tuesday's, and it was delicious.

A lavender and peach martini. The bartender said most didn't like it, but I loved it! Even the dipping the lavender tea bag in it! He advised that I not make the martini completely purple, or it would be like drinking perfume. But yum yum!!

Valentine's Day!!!!

Monday, February 14, 2011

This is my first year for celebrating Valentine's day with Zac, and I just have to say I am extremely lucky. And to make this day special, I thought I would share what I was wearing, and a very small review of makeup. It's also an update review to my skin79 product that I did a review for.

Hard Candy Ginormous Lash. I have had this mascara for about six months now (They tell you to get rid of old mascara because it can clog pores, become clumpy, all in all bad stuff happens.) But it still seems to work it's magic on me. It's the only stuff that doesn't clump, but still gives me volumous eyelashes. I should just stop buying other mascara, but like most of us, I have this horrible addiction to makeup I don't or haven't owned before. Hard Candy makeup can be found at Wal-Mart, for around anywhere from 6-8 bucks. They have the outragous and vibrant colors that Wal-Mart carries for makeup.

This is a CVS item, which I believe is called "The Color Workshops" I actually got a set of four of these eye shadow kits, two lipsticks, two lip gloss & blush, with four eyeliner pencils. The cost was about $1.99, for it was a Christmas item and was on clearance. These little guys don't work well on eyes unless you wet the brush down. But it's ok, they work WONDERS when you do.  The gift set was originally 9.99, so I don't think this is really expensive makeup. For my eyes I used the bottom right one first, then the middle, and then the top for my highlighting.  I usually don't wear smokey eyes, so this was the first time using this palette.

I also used Physicians Formula blush, in a coral color, I don't really remember what it's called. My foundation is the skin79 product I had reviewed earlier, which I said I needed a bit more time to review. It works WONDERFUL! I no longer have any breakouts, I use it as a foundation since it is tinted, it's a moisturizer, and it covers my pores completely! I am really impressed with this, and will use this FOREVER.  I also used a charcoal eyeliner on the upper lid, and lower lid, from Covergirl.

This is the end result. I also have my Barbie Gossip Aqua's in this, and this is with no flash. I think it looks good...But I could be wrong lol. I think it's a VERY Simple smokey eye.

Hahaha. And the big result. Did I forget to tell you all, I got my hair done too? This is more of my natural color of red, instead of that dark stuff. It is becoming spring outside, so I thought light would go with happy weather.

And this is my dress I'm wearing tonight. So I will make sure to take lots of pictures!! And tell you where we went to eat. I get so excited over food =S. So there ya go! A small update! And Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!!!!
